Jomel is back in Taipei this November: two events on studying and migrating to New Zealand

13 Oct 2026 / Event notice / In person, Taipei / Study × migration × investment

You don't have to wait until
you have all the answers.

Event poster: the TICA fair at the Taipei International Convention Center on 7–8 November, and the Active Investor Plus seminar at the Palais de Chine Hotel on 15 November

Information about studying and migrating to New Zealand is online, but some questions only get clear once you sit down with someone: which year would my child enter here? Do my circumstances point to skilled migration or an investor visa? And if we actually move, where do we live and how does daily life work?

In November 2026, our New Zealand team comes to Taipei for two events in two formats. Start wherever suits you.

Our office is in Albany, Auckland, and the team has worked in New Zealand immigration and education for more than ten years, with over a thousand clients served. Coming to Taipei means bringing that experience to you in person.

7–8 Nov | TICA migration, study and investment fair

If New Zealand interests you but you are not sure where to start, this is the one to walk into first.

We will have a stand at the Taipei International Convention Center. Things we can go through there:

  • Choosing a school or university how your child's current year level maps onto the system here
  • Which visa what student, work and guardian visas each require
  • A first read on the route whether skilled migration, employer sponsorship or an investor visa sits closest to your situation
  • Once you're here which suburb, renting, school zones and getting daily life set up
Come as you areHaving only a rough idea is fine. We can talk on the day and book a longer session if it is needed.

15 Nov | Active Investor Plus seminar

This one is focused, on two investment routes:

  • Active Investor Plus (AIP) how the visa is structured, what the Growth and Balanced categories require in amount and term, the days you must spend here, and what the source-of-funds evidence has to show
  • Business Investor Visa (BIV) for applicants with a business background who want to take an active part in a New Zealand business; we explain how it differs from Active Investor Plus in the form of investment and the involvement expected

An investor visa is not just a question of which sum is larger. How the money is held, where the family will live, and whether you genuinely intend to live here all bear on which route fits. The seminar sets out the rules so that you can judge for yourself.

Limited seatsRegistration is required; please use the form below.

The seminar explains the rules and general planning direction. It is not an assessment of any individual case and implies no outcome. Under New Zealand immigration law, only IAA-licensed advisers and New Zealand lawyers may give immigration advice; your own circumstances are assessed by a licensed adviser in consultation.

Who these are for

You do not need to have decided whether to migrate, or which route to take.

  • You are comparing a few countries' school systems and want to know what New Zealand is actually like
  • Your child's study plan is underway, but you are unsure whether it can lead on to residence
  • You have funds and want the difference between Active Investor Plus and the Business Investor Visa made clear
  • You are already looking at houses and schools and want to ask how life works once you land

Everyone starts somewhere different, but one conversation in person usually settles more than three months of reading.
